Responsibilities:
Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and personnel files.
Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes (new hire paperwork, orientation, exit checklists).
Assist with benefits administration: enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.
Prepare HR-related documents (employment verification letters, reports, contracts, etc.).
Provide administrative support for payroll processing and timekeeping.
Help coordinate training sessions, workshops, and employee engagement activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and HR best practices.
Serve as the first point of contact for routine employee questions related to policies, procedures, and benefits.
Support workers' compensation processes, including incident reporting, claim documentation, coordination with insurance providers, and employee follow-up.
Assist with safety-related tasks, including maintaining OSHA logs, supporting safety training programs, monitoring compliance with safety policies, and helping coordinate workplace inspections and corrective actions.
Support HR corporate activities projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 1-2 years of HR or administrative experience preferred. Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and workplace safety regulations (preferred). Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HRIS systems. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Attention to detail and accuracy. Problem-solving and proactive approach. Customer service orientation. Team player with a collaborative mindset. Adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual English - Spanish
