Position Title: Principal of Logansport High School
Location: Logansport High School, Logansport, LA
Overview:
The DeSoto Parish School Board is seeking a dynamic and experienced educational leader to join our school community as Principal of Logansport High School. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to student success, staff support, academic excellence, and positive school culture. This individual will lead our high school in developing and executing a vision that ensures a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree with an Educational Leadership endorsement Minimum of 5 years of teaching and/or school leadership experience Strong knowledge of school curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices Proven track record of creating a positive and inclusive school environment Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team of educators and support staff Commitment to ongoing professional development Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Logansport High School Provide leadership in the development and implementation of school programs, policies, and procedures Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive school culture that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of all students Supervise and evaluate faculty, staff, and administration to ensure effective teaching practices and professional growth Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community stakeholders to improve student outcomes Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards Manage school budgets and resources effectively Promote and sustain effective communication between staff, students, parents, and the community Utilize data to drive decision-making and ensure continuous school improvement Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications, per the DeSoto Parish School Board salary schedule. Application Process:
