Role Title : Database Architect Lead
Overview of Role
As a Database Engineer, you will be a key member of the Global GTS M&A team. This role will be proficient in investigating, decomposing, and combining data of different data sources and types. Ideal candidates are prepared to design appropriate solutions to support merger data needs. Responsibilities
Evaluate existing database systems and infrastructure to understand the scope and requirements of the migration. Develop detailed migration plans, including timelines, resources, and risk assessments to ensure a smooth transition. Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading ETL processes to move data from source to target systems. Implement necessary database schema changes and optimize performance during the migration process. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security throughout the migration. Conduct comprehensive testing of migrated databases to ensure they meet functionality, performance, and security standards. Identify and resolve any data discrepancies or issues that arise during or after the migration. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, and external vendors, to align migration strategies with business objectives. Provide regular updates and reports on migration progress, challenges, and resolutions to stakeholders. Maintain detailed documentation of migration processes, configurations, and any changes made to the database systems. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the migration process. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for migrated databases to address any issues that may arise. Implement improvements and optimizations based on feedback and performance analysis post-migration. Key Skills And Experience
Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills Effective time-management skills Ability to adapt to ever-changing system environments and understand all business applications Desire to learn new technologies and adapt requirements for future cloud solutions Good organizational skills and a strict attention to detail and proven ability to follow through Strong interpersonal skills Ability to develop effective working relationships with stakeholders Hands-on experienced with designing, moving and transforming data to/from Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure SQL DW, Dynamics CRM, Dynamics 365. Hands-on experience integration technologies such as SQL Server Integration Services, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate Azure Integration Services or similar technologies. Mastery of relational SQL and NoSQL databases Mastery knowledge of Snowflake in both AWS and Azure clouds Experienced with data wrangling and preparation for use within PowerBI Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary groups and all organizational levels.
