We are seeking a highly skilled
Database Architect Lead
to join the Global GTS M&A team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in
investigating, decomposing, and integrating data
from multiple sources to support merger and acquisition initiatives. This role involves architecting, designing, and executing
database migration strategies
across on-premises and cloud systems, ensuring
data integrity, security, and performance . The Database Architect Lead will play a key role in building
integration processes, migration plans, and platform designs
while providing technical leadership across IT, business, and vendor teams. Core Responsibilities
Evaluate existing database systems and define migration scope, requirements, and risk assessments. Develop detailed migration plans, including timelines, resources, and dependencies. Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to migrate and transform data between systems. Implement and optimize database schema changes to support migration. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security during and after migrations. Conduct functional, performance, and security testing for migrated systems. Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies or migration issues. Collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and vendors to align migration strategies with business objectives. Provide progress updates, reports, and documentation for stakeholders. Maintain compliance with data protection regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Provide ongoing support and performance tuning post-migration. Continuously identify opportunities for process optimization and innovation. Required Skills & Experience
Strong analysis, problem-solving, and time management skills. Ability to adapt to changing system environments and complex business applications. Hands-on experience in designing, moving, and transforming data across Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure SQL DW, Dynamics CRM, Dynamics 365. Expertise with integration technologies: SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, Azure Integration Services (or similar tools). Mastery of SQL and NoSQL databases. Expert-level knowledge of Snowflake (AWS and Azure environments). Strong experience in data wrangling and preparation for Power BI. Familiarity with cloud migration strategies (Azure/AWS). Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
