Dignity Health . Job summary and responsibilities: Is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. Performs duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan, TJC and other licensing, accrediting and regulatory agencies. Is a member of the Surgical team who works with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Registered Nurses and other surgical personnel in delivering care, pre-operatively, intra-operatively and post-operatively. Maintains patient safety and confidentiality during the hospital stay. Embraces diversity by displaying sensitivity to different cultures and cultural backgrounds. Participates in the coverage of the departmental On Call schedule as well as shift adjustment based on the needs of the department.
Responsibilities
Work with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Registered Nurses and other surgical personnel in delivering care pre-operatively, intra-operatively and post-operatively.
Maintain patient safety and confidentiality during the hospital stay.
Participate in coverage of the departmental On Call schedule and adjust shifts based on department needs.
Support compliance with the performance improvement plan, TJC and other licensing, accrediting and regulatory agencies.
Embrace diversity by displaying sensitivity to different cultures and backgrounds.
Job Requirements
1 year experience in acute care/stand-alone ambulatory surgery center with focus on Ortho, Laparoscopic procedures, vascular, ophthalmology; or successful completion of a student clinical rotation at Glendale Memorial Hospital.
Surgical Technician Training Course Graduate.
