Facilities Workstream Safety Lead

to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will oversee and enforce safety standards across FAA facility design, construction, and modernization projects. In this position, you will: Lead safety oversight for all facilities-related workstreams, including construction, installation, and upgrades. Ensure compliance with FAA standards, OSHA regulations, and federal safety management requirements. Develop, implement, and monitor safety risk management plans, hazard identification, and mitigation strategies. Conduct and oversee safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations. Collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, and subcontractors to embed safety requirements into facility designs and plans. Provide safety expertise during requirements reviews, design reviews, and readiness assessments. Prepare and maintain safety documentation, risk registers, and compliance reports. Ensure all projects adhere to Safety Management System (SMS) principles and FAA safety guidelines. Deliver training and mentoring to project staff and subcontractors on safety practices and standards. Report safety performance, risks, and recommendations to FAA leadership and program managers. Basic Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship Required. Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance. Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience or Masters degree and 6 years or or Associate's degree and 10 years' experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years experience. Experience in facilities safety management, construction safety, or systems safety roles. Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and federal safety regulations. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports and brief leadership. Preferred Qualifications : Direct FAA or NAS configuration management experience. Advanced degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health, or related discipline. Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician), or CSME (Certified Safety Management Expert). EEO:
