$32.00/hr - $38.00/hr About the Role As our Route Accountant, you will be the vital link in our daily operations, ensuring flawless financial reconciliation at our bustling dairy manufacturing distribution center. This dynamic role puts you at the heart of our operations, collaborating closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and the finance team to meticulously verify route settlements, uphold impeccable cash and product accountability, and champion adherence to company policies. Beyond the core accounting functions, you'll also contribute to the smooth flow of our office, handling essential administrative duties such as precise data entry, insightful reporting, and comprehensive general office support. A Day in the Life Route Accounting & Settlement Reconcile daily driver paperwork, invoices, deposits, and product returns. Verify delivery accuracy, product load-outs, and route settlements in ERP systems ( SAP preferred ). Track and reconcile cash, credit card, and customer account payments. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between route paperwork, inventory, and financial reports. Maintain route settlement logs, reports, and audit-ready records. Administrative & Reception Support Answer phones, greet visitors, and provide frontline customer service. Perform data entry, scanning, filing, and document management. Assist with scheduling, correspondence, and general office support. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports using Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. Maintain office supplies, equipment logs, and reception area. Review and assign AP coding to invoices. Role Requirements High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred. 3–5 years of experience
in accounting, bookkeeping, or route settlement in a
distribution, food/beverage, or manufacturing environment. Prior experience supporting administrative or reception functions preferred. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite
(Excel – pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reporting; Word; Outlook). Experience with
ERP systems required; SAP strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of accounting principles (debits/credits, reconciliation, cash handling). Ability to interpret invoices, settlement reports, driver manifests, and inventory data. Work performed primarily in an office setting with occasional exposure to a cold storage/distribution environment. Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Occasional lifting of files or office supplies up to 20 lbs. What You Bring to the Team High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reconciliation and reporting.
