The preferred working location is the Medtronic facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota; however, this role may be based from another US-based Medtronic facility. Additional work locations may include Lafayette, CO; Mansfield, MA; North Haven, CT; Memphis, TN; Santa Ana/Irvine, CA; Atlanta, GA; Fort Worth, TX.

Medtronic is seeking a visionary Senior Director to lead Commercial Analytics and Insights across the end-to-end commercial value stream—including Sales Enablement, Pricing & Contracting, and Service & Repair. This leader will architect and operationalize a connected data strategy that fuels business outcomes through scalable, AI-ready data products and platforms. In close partnership with Global IT, Data Architecture, and Hyperautomation teams, this role will drive the evolution of commercial data capabilities, enabling frictionless insights and intelligent decision-making across the enterprise.
Day in the Life
Key Responsibilities
Connected Data Infrastructure & Strategy: Lead the design and optimization of commercial data ecosystems, including data mesh and cloud-native architectures.
Partner with platform teams to enable AI/ML readiness, conversational interfaces, and real-time analytics.
Advance the “single pane of glass” vision for commercial users by integrating seller tools, opportunity management, and market intelligence platforms.
Data Governance & Trust Frameworks: Establish federated data governance models that ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance.
Collaborate with Master Data, MDAC, and enterprise analytics teams to harmonize data standards and enable cross-functional reuse.
Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnership: Serve as a strategic advisor to commercial leaders, aligning data strategies with business imperatives.
Embed analytics into commercial workflows to drive measurable impact in sales productivity, pricing optimization, and customer experience.
Data Product Innovation: Own the roadmap for commercial data products (e.g., YODA, CDH, Fieldlink), ensuring they are modular, scalable, and user-centric.
Drive adoption through agile delivery, usage analytics, and continuous iteration based on business feedback.
External Market Data & Insights: Lead the evolution of third-party data strategies, integrating syndicated data into internal platforms for competitive advantage.
Deliver actionable insights to Operating Units (OUs) through advanced segmentation, forecasting, and omnichannel analytics.
Leadership & Transformation: Lead globally distributed, diverse teams across regions and time zones, fostering an inclusive culture of innovation and excellence. Champion agile ways of working by embedding product-centric delivery models, iterative development, and cross-functional collaboration. Provide strategic business partnerships across the globe and serve as a visible advocate for existing and emerging data products—including a robust AI roadmap focused on predictive analytics.
Engage in GCO regional reviews, commercial councils, and OU leadership forums to promote data-driven decision-making and scale commercial analytics capabilities.

Medtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package. We recognize contributions and offer a wide range of benefits, resources, and compensation plans designed to support you at every career and life stage.
Salary ranges for U.S. locations (USD): $206,400.00 - $309,600.00. This position is eligible for the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP) and for an annual long-term incentive plan. The base salary range applies across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and certain CA locations, and may vary based on experience, certification/education, and location.
The following benefits are available to regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and Vision insurance; Health Savings Account; Healthcare Flexible Spending Account; Life insurance; Long-term disability; Dependent daycare spending account; Tuition assistance/reimbursement; and wellbeing programs.
