HAIX is a family-owned footwear manufacturer trusted by first responders, law enforcement, foresters, safety workers, and more. We hand-craft over 1 million pairs of shoes annually and sell them to dealers, distributors, and directly to individuals around the globe. Our US office serves the United States and Canada. Our mission is to make the best specialized footwear on the market with protective, comfortable products and a strong safety focus. The Northeast Territory Sales Manager drives sales and business development for HAIX North America Inc. within the first responder market. The role focuses on expanding market presence for HAIX high-performance footwear, managing dealer and distributor relationships, identifying new growth opportunities, and positioning HAIX as a trusted provider for municipal fire departments, police agencies, and other first responder organizations. The Northeast Territory includes New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Maine. The role reports to the Senior Vice President, Vice President, and Director of Sales, with day-to-day operations primarily to the Director of Sales. The Job
Sales Activities & Efforts Servicing existing accounts, obtaining orders, and establishing new accounts Organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential new customer accounts Training and support to maintain and establish a dealer network Supervision, coaching, and training of dealer internal sales representatives (if applicable) Weartest implementation with key accounts; control and project management Attendance at regional and/or national trade shows, including NFPA meetings (if applicable); report important NFPA compliance and standards to management and the HNA sales team Inform management and HNA sales team on status of activities in territory, including: Territory forecast development/vision Competitive analysis and market research Sales project updates Sales tools Summarize customer visits with a Visit Report within 5 days of the visit; average of 8 customer visits per week Attendance at periodic sales meetings (3–4 per year) Compliance with the HAIX brand image (clothing, sample bags, car logo, etc.) Sales Budgeting & Planning
Management of Territory Sales & Goals Analysis of monthly sales numbers and turnover Control of customer/dealer stock Supervision and control of customer dealer offers and price lists Forecast of annual sales for the territory Work with Distribution regarding special product needs and order processing from Germany Ongoing economic analysis of dealer network Planning and controlling of budgetary items within the territory Travel arrangements Tradeshow expenses Territory advertising/other marketing Weartest management Sales tools Dealer materials The Skills Needed
Proven track record in dealer B2B and end-user sales, ideally within fire safety, law enforcement, EMS, or PPE industries Strong understanding of the first responder industry’s operational needs, safety requirements, and buying behaviors Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a broader sales team Willingness to travel very frequently (80–90% travel) within the Northeast Territory (NY, CT, MA, VT, NH, RI, ME) Passion for high-performance products and commitment to representing a premium brand The Perks
