The Corporate Responsibility Regional Manager role at Southwest Airlines’ Chicago office is integral to connecting the airline with the vibrant Chicago community. This position requires a strategic approach to build and strengthen relationships across civic, government, and private sectors. The role is focused on conducting meaningful engagements and making community investments that align with Southwest’s business goals, while also minimizing risk and increasing brand awareness. This manager’s role involves providing strategic advice across the enterprise and using high-impact opportunities to enhance Southwest’s reputation as a trusted community partner and influential leader. This position is key to fostering goodwill and strengthening the company’s presence in one of its key markets, ensuring that Southwest’s impact is both positive and memorable. Responsibilities

Build a network of community stakeholders to grow the Southwest brand among trade, civic, philanthropic, advocacy, and resource organizations. Establish and maintain positive strategic relationships with key community influencers. Demonstrate strong financial stewardship in planning and overseeing the Corporate Responsibility budget. Engage socially and facilitate interactions with key officials, thought leaders, and community partners for long-term relationships. Identify, assess, and launch strategic partnerships and activities. Represent the company at various outside meetings and events. Create strategic plans for allocation and deployment of Corporate Responsibility resources. Drive innovation and support inclusion strategy in community outreach programs. Guide Leadership Engagement strategy development and implementation. Serve as a convener/facilitator for cross-departmental conversations/projects. May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders. Requirements

Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques. Understanding of business and management principles for strategic planning and resource allocation. Skilled in creatively solving problems and creating win-win solutions. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking. Ability to produce innovative ideas and develop creative solutions. Ability to negotiate contracts and measure outcomes. High School Diploma or GED required. Benefits
