We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven National Sales Manager to lead and expand our national sales efforts. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, acquiring new national accounts, and developing strong relationships with potential and existing clients. The National Sales Manager will oversee the sales team, work closely with senior leadership, and contribute to the development and execution of WTG's strategic sales plans.
Responsibilities of Position:
Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve revenue goals Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to exceed targets, while fostering a positive and collaborative environment Identify and target potential national clients in key industries (restaurants, retail chains, healthcare, etc.) Create detailed, customized proposals and presentations tailored to clients' needs Conduct ride-alongs with staff and provide detailed written feedback Conduct regular scheduled sales meetings with a strong emphasis on the Prospect Management system, utilizing the Growth Management Board Account Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring excellent service and satisfaction Serve as the primary point of contact for major accounts and manage the client lifecycle, from prospecting to contract negotiations and renewals. Collaborate with the account management team to ensure the smooth onboarding of new clients. Market and Competitor Analysis:
Continuously analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to adapt sales strategies Stay up-to-date with the latest waste management technologies and regulations, providing insights and recommendations to clients Performance Tracking and Reporting:
Track sales performance using CRM software and other sales tools Prepare regular sales forecasts and reports for senior leadership Ensure that all sales targets and KPIs are met or exceeded Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing team to generate leads and develop effective marketing campaigns Collaborate with the operations and customer service teams to ensure the timely and effective delivery of services to clients Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibility: This position will manage 6 to 10 employees Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, must present and communicate professionally Must possess strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate and follow up on activities Must be organized with good time management skills Possess proven analytical/problem-solving solutions for the customer and the company Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications Possess strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills Must be self-motivated and able to motivate others to meet or exceed goals Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field 5-7 years of sales experience required Previous management experience required Preferred experience in waste management and environmental Proven track record of success in managing national accounts and leading sales teams Experience with B2B sales, contract negotiations, and managing long sales cycles Strong knowledge of the waste management industry and its services is highly preferred Physical Requirements in a Regular workday:
Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 20lbs Continuously sitting/standing/walking in office environment Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:
