Our client, a privately held and growing software/technology company, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager of Accounting & Finance to lead all accounting and finance functions. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic organization in growth mode and partner directly with senior leadership.
This role provides the chance to own the full accounting and finance function for a growing software/technology company while working closely with the executive team. It is well-suited for a hands-on accounting and finance professional seeking visibility, impact, and career growth in a dynamic environment.
This is a hands-on, individual contributor role responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, investor reporting, and cash flow management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of providing financial insights to support executive decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and execute all day-to-day accounting functions, including AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations. Manage the monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and operating metrics for senior leadership. Administer and maintain QuickBooks Online, ensuring integrity of the general ledger. Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash management activities. Implement and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Partner with external tax and audit firms to ensure compliance and timely filings. Provide strategic financial insights to leadership, identifying trends and opportunities to support company growth. Create dashboards for executive leadership. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred. 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience with strong general accounting skills. SaaS/Software industry experience is required. Experience in a small company, entrepreneurial, or growth-stage environment highly desirable. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel required. Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Effective communicator with strong business acumen and the ability to work closely with senior leadership. Additional Information
