The NFL Players Association is looking for a dynamic Event Manager to join our award-winning Events and Travel team! The Event Manager will be responsible for strategy, environmental design and execution of logistics for a suite of signature events.

Duties include event production, logistics management and creative implementation of event elements, including, but not limited to food and beverage, décor, branding and audio visual.

You will work directly with external vendors and a variety of internal teams to produce best in class experiences for our membership and partners. This position will work closely with our Former Player Services Department to conceptualize, design and produce signature event activations for our former player membership of 15,000+. The ideal candidate has proven experience with in-person and virtual events and is exceptionally organized, able to manage competing priorities and successfully resolve issues, is a master of prioritization and thrives in a fast-paced environment. here . Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include: Support NFLPA’s core values and ensures all events align with organization’s player-centric focus. Maintain acute knowledge of industry trends with a focus on process efficiency, emergingopportunities and innovation. Set, communicate and adhere to project timelines, priorities and established budgets. Research, compile, and maintain data on venues, hotels, destinations, vendors, celebritycontacts & industry resources. Serve as primary department liaison with Former Player Services, including attending all regularmeetings. Conduct needs assessments for each assigned event and create an actionable service plan for fulfillment; including audience development and objectives, logistics, on-site operations, run-of showand wrap-up procedures for events and other meetings/activities as directed and inaccordance with the organization’s Strategic Meetings Management Policy (SMMP). Build and manage event registration portals, track attendee engagement and report generationusing Cvent. Manage food and beverage (F&B), guest housing and meeting space requirements, including BEOs and rooming lists. Conduct audience development, including identifying best practices for guest list managementand invitation/response strategies and post-event data collection. Prepare Former Player Services materials, timelines, collateral material and surveys, as needed, including post-event reconciliation and associated back-up. Lead engagement and integration of organization’s creative team into events and meetings withsupport of Events and Travel Coordinator. Oversee production sequencing, tracking and scheduling for creative and collateral, includingcredentials, tickets, invitations, décor elements, signage, video and other promotional and informational copy, including ensuring any external logos and marks needed are accuratelyincluded in any collateral. Facilitate stakeholder discussion on content capture at each event or meeting, includingscheduling and shot lists based upon LOAs or contractual requirements. Work with designated Player Director(s) and Manager(s) to facilitate player meal functionsduring team/rookie visits to include procurement of private space, engagement opportunities,F&B planning, and Audio Visual. Oversee Former Player Services event creative from needs assessment through to installationon-site, with graphic designer(s) or agencies. Engage internal corporate partnership and licensing teams to identify sellable event inventory, along with relevant external partners to execute strategic event marketing, inventory procurement, and deliverables for events and meetings. Engage with relevant departments, e.g., Information Systems, to ascertain business requirements for each venue are in line with needs assessments. Work with Operations to ensure all supplies are packed, shipped and tracked from end-to-end.Additionally, works to implement security and accreditation plan. Oversee onsite event and meeting production elements and operations, including drayage andinstallation of shipments and performs continuous troubleshooting for internal stakeholders andpartners. Work with Operations team to manage in-house and off-site storage of event and meetingsupplies, props, samples, products, and equipment, including the maintenance of and electronic/visual inventory of all event and meeting assets (collateral and décor). Provide post event evaluations including, but not limited to: budget/expenditures, marketing,objectives, execution, concession valuation and ROI according to expectations and deadlines inaccordance with organization’s SMMP. Oversee interns, as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Event or Hospitality Management (or similar field) preferred Minimum of five (5) years of event and meeting management experience required; CMM, CMPor CSEP certification(s) a plus Experience with Cvent registration build out and/or other event management technology, including event apps Strong research, analytical, customer service and adaptability skills in dynamic situations Innate ability to prioritize and manage time with attention to detail Ability to handle and manipulate asynchronous schedules and deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
