What You Will Do: The Senior Acquisition Program Manager will support the Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition lifecycle, including documentation development, milestone planning, program analysis, and execution. Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders, supporting capability planning, and applying program management best practices. The role involves supporting integrated reviews, source selections, and strategic reporting to ensure alignment of cost, schedule, and performance across AFLCMC programs.
Demonstrate and apply DoD acquisition processes and analytical methods to gather, analyze, and evaluate information.
Support program execution across all acquisition phases, tracking cost, schedule, and performance.
Assist in developing acquisition documentation, performing cost and workload analyses, and supporting contracting activities.
Participate in IPTs and PIWGs.
Translate user requirements into RFP documentation.
Prepare and manage program documentation, including DIDs, CDRLs, AF Form 1067s, and OEM proposals.
Support key acquisition events and reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, TCM, FCA, PCA, PRR.
Interface with external mission partners and maintain program databases.
Support risk management, program analysis, and decision-making processes.
Coordinate program reviews, working groups, and conferences.
Track action items, prepare briefings, and support milestone documentation.
Assist in EVM reviews and schedule analysis using tools like MS Project.
Provide advisory support for source selections and inquiries.
Support DAG and PEG processes.
What You Will Need:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree.
Fifteen (15) years of experience in acquisitions and/or program management; five (5) years in the DoD; a Master’s degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
Familiarity with DoD acquisition lifecycle and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active and maintained Secret clearance.
Master’s degree in acquisition.
DAWIA Program Management or Acquisition certification.
Experience supporting AFLCMC or AFMC at WPAFB.
Experience with AF Form 1067 and requirements councils.
Participation in IPTs and source selection advisory roles.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with government and contractors.
Compensation: The annual salary range is $102,000 - $170,000, depending on experience, skills, and organizational needs.
