Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Associate to join our finance team. The Senior Accounting Associate will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day accounting and reporting for our real estate investment portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills and an understanding of private equity real estate.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with our fund administrator on the day-to-day accounting and administration of the fund including the production of capital calls and distributions to investors.

Collaborate with fund administrator and 1SP team to produce accurate and timely investor reporting related to investments in underlying real estate-related firms’ funds.

Review quarterly financial statement workpapers, including trial balance, general ledger, and supporting schedules, prepared by fund administrator.

Calculate investment and fund performance metrics including gross and net IRRs and multiples.

Work closely with the investments team to support the underlying investment process

Work closely with underlying investment partners to ensure proper accounting treatment and financial reporting, as well as to ensure accuracy of capital activity between the underlying investments and our fund.

Work with the auditors and fund administrator during the annual audit, as well as the tax preparation process with external providers.

Ensure compliance with fund reporting regulations and standards.

Prepare and monitor fund-level expenses and vendor payments.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum of 4 years of fund accounting experience, ideally within the real estate sector.

Understanding of fund accounting, financial analysis, and reporting standards.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Willingness to learn complexities of fund structures and investor reporting requirements.

Attention to detail with focus on accuracy and timeliness.
