UG2 . Our Regional Manager of Environmental Health and Safety will champion our national injury prevention initiatives and is responsible for administering, coordinating, and measuring the results of our risk management programs, and other policies impacting the environmental health and safety of our workforce, clients, and tenants. Individual will identify, evaluate, and analyze work environments to mitigate risks and manage programs and procedures that eliminate or control workplace hazards. Will develop and conduct safety training for front-line employees and perform observations to reinforce positive behaviors and correct at-risk behaviors. An ideal candidate will have experience in facilities management, especially in trades such as engineering, mechanical and janitorial. Job Responsibilities Manage employee training and awareness programs. Develop, implement and coordinate EHS programs. Ensure that UG2 EHS programs are fully implemented at all sites. Work with operations to ensure all work-related injuries and accidents are properly investigated, root causes are identified, corrective actions are taken, and lessons learned are shared. Ability to establish and lead internal audits of the safety program to evaluate conformance with and effectiveness of the health and safety processes and procedures. Work with claim management and operations to ensure that all Worker's Compensation claims are filed timely. Work with operations managers to facilitate safety orientation for new sites or new employees. Conduct training to keep department personnel informed on procedures, methods, use of equipment and other quality control techniques. Manage data applicable to risk management performance at a regional level. Assist with oversight of UG2's Fleet Management Program. Key Interactions Executive Leadership. Corporate EHS Resources. Operations Personnel. VP of Human Resources. Stakeholders: Government and non-Government. Site Specific EHS personnel. Risk Consultants. Contractors and Subcontractors. Key Clients. Supervisory Responsibilities No direct reports. Provide oversight, direction, and support to operations managers, field supervisors, and employees. Requirements BA/BS in Safety, Engineering or related sciences preferred. Subject matter expertise in relevant local, state and federal EHS regulations. 6+ years of occupational HSE work experience, with experience in a management role overseeing multiple sites. Knowledge of risk recognition, assessment and control techniques. Effective communication and computer skills including verbal and writing reports. Experience with Fleet Management Programs. Conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Occupational Health & Safety Certification (ASP, CSP, or CIH) a plus. Preference to candidates who are bilingual with English and Spanish. Working Conditions And/or Physical Requirements Majority of travel within California. Limited travel to surrounding regions as business dictates. Ability to climb ladders to access elevated areas.
