Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Process and Manufacturing Engineering Manager role in Burlington. Our client is a well-established industry leader in heavy automation manufacturing, known for innovation and a commitment to delivering world-class products. With a focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on optimizing processes through advanced statistical methods and maintaining excellence at every stage of the manufacturing lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Lead process and manufacturing engineering activities for new product introductions, ensuring robust process validation during ramp-up. Apply
SPC (Statistical Process Control) ,
DOE (Design of Experiments) , and
Process Capability Analysis
to not only collect data, but to interpret and apply statistical insights that drive process optimization. Ensure process capability is established early in the production introduction phase to achieve Six Sigma-level performance standards. Use
Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
and Lean Six Sigma tools to identify waste, improve process flow, and enhance efficiency across manufacturing operations. Lead and mentor engineers, ensuring technical teams are engaged, motivated, and aligned with organizational goals. Collaborate with design teams on
DFSS (Design for Six Sigma)
projects to ensure seamless transitions from product design to scalable manufacturing. Validate processes through statistical methods prior to full-scale production, ensuring quality and efficiency are embedded from the start. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in manufacturing engineering. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Electrical, Electronics, or Manufacturing Engineering . 3+ years of
proven leadership experience
in a fast-paced, heavy-automation manufacturing environment. Strong background in applying
statistical tools and methods
for process optimization and validation. Experience in
introducing new product designs
and achieving process capability during production ramp-up. Hands-on experience with
DFSS projects , especially those transitioning from design to full manufacturing. Six Sigma Black Belt certification is not required, but experience leading
Black Belt-level projects
is highly valued. Ability to influence and motivate individual contributors while driving results in a collaborative environment. What We Offer
