Staff Accountant

Are You: Experienced in general accounting activities in a fast-paced environment? Proficient in Excel, with experience using v-lookups, SUM functions, and pivot tables? As the

Staff Accountant , you will handle general accounting activities, including preparing, maintaining, and reconciling general ledger accounts and financial statements. A Day in the Life Compile and analyze financial information to prepare general ledger entries. Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, estimates, and significant changes in accounts. Resolve discrepancies or inaccuracies in financial data, prepare schedules, reconciliations, and reports. Assist in preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects. Requirements BA/BS degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field. The ideal candidate plans to pursue their CPA. Experience with general ledger functions, account reconciliations, and problem resolution. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Access. Experience with month-end/year-end close processes is strongly preferred. Experience with intercompany transactions is a plus. The salary range for this position is $51,600 to $71,000 annually, dependent on experience, skills, and location. Actual compensation will be aligned with individual qualifications and market data.
