Business Development Director, North America
The Business Development Director, NA will be responsible for driving regional revenue growth on the VIOOH platform from the buy side. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience selling local and regional, omni-channel programmatic campaigns to brands and agencies. They will also ideally have had experience working with, at or managing DSPs as the role will also involve managing local stakeholders and driving revenue from the active DSPs in the region, alongside a DSP partnerships team. In particular, this person should have a strong understanding of the programmatic landscape and how to navigate an Agency/Client trading desk and bring on new business.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Director of Global Business Development (London based) to unlock local and regional programmatic DOOH advertising opportunities from brands and media agencies.
Build a strategic plan to achieve goals and proactively identify new client opportunities across agency and client programmatic trading desks.
Cultivate relationships with brands, agency contacts and clients to gain deep insight into their business.
Increase output from existing clients through developing relationships and where applicable, upsell into new international markets.
Provide thorough and prompt feedback to the company on how to best service clients’ needs.
Work with wider VIOOH Demand Team members and other internal teams to ensure solid proposals are successfully implemented and aligned with client expectations in a timely manner.
Manage and grow revenue across key DSPs in NA by building relationships with local teams/reps and working with DSP commercial arms to educate, co-pitch + support RFP responses.
Take a proactive and supporting role as we source and onboard new DSP partners in these markets along with the DSP partnerships team
Support DSP Partner Managers in other regions by driving international demand from NA DSPs + manage cross-regional accounts collaboratively.
Work closely with media owner partners within your region to maximise revenue opportunities.
Proactively drive curated deals across opted-in media owner partners.
Be willing to travel to client meetings, international conferences and industry events.
Be a DSP subject matter expert and representative for these partners in both internal and external settings.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of selling local and regional advertising campaigns to NA agencies and brands, for multiple end Media Owners or Publishers.
Must have strong selling experience and a track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong and strategic relationship within media agencies.
Can build and maintain/grow client relationships at all levels.
Demonstrated strong strategic sales account management expertise.
Demonstrable experience across programmatic trading, ideally in DOOH but as a minimum across other advertising channels;
Ideally previous direct experience with DSPs, including contacts, a knowledge of their structure and ways of working;
Interest in the growth of OOH to a digitised and faster trading programmatic channel;
A true self-starter; this role works with multiple markets meaning adaptability, a growth mindset and the ability to work alone;
However, an excellent team player is also key, happy collaborating and solving with #teamVIOOH, DSP partners and the local media owners;
Manage multiple stakeholders across DSP including Inventory, Product, Sales and Account Management teams. Able to interact with all levels at a DSP (or similar business) from C-suite to senior partnerships contacts.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, develop and execute account plans and build relationships (both internally and externally with clients).
