We are seeking a professional and customer-focused General Manager to oversee hotel operations at Marriott Orlando Downtown. The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of hotel operations, maintains a positive attitude, and has proven skills to oversee all operations activities and departments in the hotel to maximize revenue, deliver a positive guest experience, and promote a learning‑oriented, excellence-driven team culture. Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service to all hotel guests, making their stay memorable while achieving company and Brand goals. Ensure all standard operating procedures and federal, state and local regulations related to associates, security, cash handling, guest relations and safety are followed. Maintain and improve property standards and service to ensure guest satisfaction. Develop annual budget, marketing plan and capital expenditure plans. Achieve budgeted revenue and profit goals, balancing costs with guest satisfaction. Prepare and submit timely operational reports on performance metrics, financials, brand compliance and associate performance. Ensure property hiring and all employee practices comply with company and legal requirements. Hire, train, and direct associates and managers, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Accompany Sales team on sales calls and lead the sales effort. Become involved in community events and meetings and maintain high visibility with guests. Understand and implement the Brand service culture; support team members to complete the workload daily. Perform other duties as required. Gain knowledge of hotel systems and programs and apply relevant math skills. Train other employees and assess/evaluate their performance fairly and consistently. Supervise, train and motivate hourly associates within the department. Study, analyze and interpret complex activities to improve practices or develop new approaches. Make decisions with guidance from general policies and procedures only. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations (e.g., Title VII, ADEA, Equal Pay Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, FLSA, ADA, OSHA, FMLA, NLRA). Qualifications

Education Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Hospitality Management or related field, or equivalent education/experience. Experience Seven years of hotel General Manager experience preferred.
