About the role: As a Manager I, Clinical Portfolio Management uses a working knowledge of clinical studies to lead portfolio planning for clinical interventional cardiology programs. Your role requires to collaborate with Project Management and functional leaders to build budgets and resource plans to support clinical studies throughout the project life cycle. Work Mode: This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Marlborough, MA office for a minimum three times a week. Visa Sponsorship:

Your responsibilities will include: Partner with Project Management and Clinical Functions to build an optimal portfolio in support of financial constraints and future pipeline

Facilitate the transition to new financial and portfolio management IS solutions.

Work collaboratively with Finance to drive the Annual Plan and Quarterly Financial Forecasts to support business requirements and timeline.

Support the 5-Year Strategic Plan to determine best study portfolio within financial targets.

Support with management of portfolio financials including budgeting, forecasting, and actual tracking.

Consults with business leads to develop and implement achievable franchise plans.

Participate in budgets development and evaluating how portfolio and projects plan changes impact cost and schedule.

Provide reporting to key stakeholder areas as requested. Communicate and influence resolution of cross functional budgets or capacity issues.

Facilitate the use of data and analytics to build consensus and support strategic decisions around the Portfolio.

Provide headcount reporting and analysis for Global Clinical. Establish effective, collaborative working relationships with external entities and internal organizations to maximize Portfolio efficiency, responsiveness and resource allocation.

Develop processes, metrics, and best practices for improved portfolio management and planning

Assess baseline current study costs to identify internal process improvement and/or outsourcing impact.

Develop models and contribute to presentations for senior management.

Create guidelines for best practice for Project Managers/Functional Managers benefits, as needed.

Act as the first partner to address Clinical or Business portfolio inquiries.

Required qualifications: Minimum Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Clinical Project and/or Site/Operations Management experience.

Minimum 2 years experience with Clinical operational/budgeting/metrics development, and continued improvement of metrics for internal use.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships across a matrixed organization and diverse geographic regions.

Skilled in identifying complex business challenges and developing comprehensive, long-term strategic solutions to address them

Preferred qualifications: Demonstrated ability to distill complex concepts, strategies, and information into a clear and actionable business plan

Proficiency in Smartsheet, Compass, AI- based portfolio analysis tools is preferred

Preferred experience as an internal consultant supporting business line stakeholders, ideally within the medical device industry

Compensation:

Minimum Salary: 103700; Maximum Salary: 197000. The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired near the bottom or top of the salary range.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
