compliance-minded Broker of Record

to serve as the first point of contact for “broker questions,” guide our agents through complex real estate scenarios, and uphold our reputation for professionalism and legal compliance. This is a leadership and risk management position; you will not be managing transactions day-to-day, but will ensure every agent has the tools and information they need to operate within Pennsylvania law, Bright MLS rules, and KW policies. The four biggest items we need your help with are the following: Be present in the office at least three days per week to support the team and clients. Respond to settlement and home inspection questions via phone and email with accuracy and professionalism. Lead an educational class for clients or agents every other month. Proactively ensure compliance and protect the team from potential risks by staying ahead of issues and resolving them quickly. Compensation Base Salary: $36,000 annually PTO Incentive opportunities Key Priorities Be present in the office at least three days per week to support agents and leadership. Respond to settlement, inspection, and other compliance-related questions by phone and email with clarity and professionalism. Lead an educational class every other month to strengthen agent knowledge and prevent compliance issues. Proactively safeguard the brokerage by staying ahead of risk, resolving issues quickly, and keeping the Market Center “out of trouble.” Responsibilities

Compliance & Risk Management

Review transactions for compliance with PA real estate law, Bright MLS rules, and company policy. Remain available for urgent questions, including outside normal business hours when necessary. Serve as the liaison between KW Main Line and the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission for complaints and compliance matters. File insurance claims and coordinate with litigating attorneys when the Market Center is involved in litigation. Maintain awareness of changes in law and practice (e.g., NAR lawsuit updates), share updates with the Market Center, and adjust processes as needed. Approve business cards, signage, and marketing collateral for compliance. Safeguard the Market Center by proactively managing compliance and risk to prevent issues before they arise. Agent Support & Education

Provide guidance on complex scenarios such as earnest money disputes, contract terminations, unusual deal structures, and settlement-related questions (including selling and inspection issues) via phone and email. Teach or facilitate compliance-related classes a few times per year, including a class every other month on key compliance and risk topics. Deliver timely compliance updates at Market Center meetings (“Broker Moments”). Act as a trusted advisor to the Leadership Team on brokerage matters, offering input on policies and best practices. Attend KW Main Line events such as monthly sales meetings, holiday party, and brokerage-sponsored events. Expect to field ~10 new broker questions per day (2-4 hours of focused work). Some questions are quick; others require follow-up calls or research. Understanding KW Main Line’s Policies & Guidelines Manual, team structures, and financial model will help you provide accurate answers and keep agents operating in compliance. Maintain a regular presence in the office at least three days per week to provide in-person support and foster accessibility for agents. Qualifications

Active Pennsylvania Broker License (Maryland, New Jersey, and Delaware licenses a plus or willingness to obtain). Deep understanding of PA real estate law, contracts, and compliance standards. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make judgment calls on risk. Collaborative and approachable leadership style; comfortable being the “calm in the storm.” Commitment to staying up to date on legal, industry, and MLS changes. Strong ability to draft, review, and interpret real estate contracts and related documents with accuracy and attention to detail. Consistently maintains a professional demeanor and represents the brokerage with integrity in all interactions. Skilled at developing, following, and implementing processes to ensure consistency and compliance across the brokerage.
