As we expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager who will bring expertise and leadership to our accounting team.
DMG Worldwide is an accounting firm that specializes in helping Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs with their Accounting and cash flow management needs. DMG provides accounting and tax, tax resolution, outsourced CFO, and advisory services.
Responsibilities
Financial Management and Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, lead monthly and annual closings, and ensure the accuracy of financial reports.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage financial plans and budgets, monitor progress and changes, and produce financial forecasts.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Team Leadership and Development: Manage and supervise accounting staff, including accountants and financial assistants; mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach.
Process Improvement: Streamline accounting processes and operations for efficiency and enhanced productivity.
Internal Controls: Enhance and enforce policies and procedures of the company through internal controls and checks.
Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during audits and comprehensive reviews.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role with at least 2 years in a management capacity.
Extensive knowledge of accounting software and databases.
Excellent understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
Strong leadership, technology, analytical, and communication skills.
Proven experience as an accounting supervisor or manager.
Exceptional organization and time-management skills.
Proven problem-solving skills in undefined environments. Experience with month-end closing procedures including adjusting journal entries, prepaid and accrual adjustments, reconciliations, and depreciation. Experience with QuickBooks Online and Desktop versions.
Proven ability in helping clients build more profitable operations.
Experience preparing business taxes including 1120, 1120S, 1065.
Experience with Pro-Series software is a plus.
What We Offer
Salary Range: $72,500.00 - $93,250.00 per year
