Grounded in the Jewish values of dignity, compassion, and community, SFCJL was founded in 1871 and continues to enrich the lives of older adults. What You’ll Do as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Provide efficient, safe, and high-quality care to residents through the nursing process. Supervise nursing assistants, administer treatments and medications, and maintain a clean and safe environment. Deliver and oversee comprehensive nursing care, including administering medications and treatments, and assessing residents' conditions. Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed. Maintain effective communication across nursing shifts, departments, supervisors, physicians, and resident families. Advocate for residents’ rights and report any signs of abuse or neglect. Adhere to safety protocols and infection control policies; maintain resident confidentiality and professional standards. Assist with onboarding and orientation of new nursing staff; provide feedback for the evaluation of nursing assistants; participate in in-service education and training. Complete all required documentation related to assessments, care planning, physician orders, and evaluations. Respond to resident and facility emergencies; ensure a clean and safe environment; manage unit supplies and equipment. Accept reassignment as necessary to meet resident care needs and perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing program. Current and active LVN license in the state of California. Current CPR certification. Two years of acute or long-term care experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Strong commitment to quality patient care, safety, and professionalism.
