We are seeking a detailed-oriented and experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and performing the full cycle of accounts payable functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role provides guidance for junior staff, supports process improvements, and partners with internal departments and external vendors to resolve complex issues. The Responsibilities of the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist include:

Assist AP Supervisor to manage end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, approvals, payments, and reconciliation Ensure accurate coding, posting and payment of vendor invoices in accordance with company policies and accounting standards Manage the vendor onboarding process, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected, and vendors are compliant with company requirements Monitor the accounts payable aging report and ensure outstanding balances are resolved promptly Handle complex or escalated vendor inquiries and reconcile discrepancies Prepare and analyze AP-related financial reports to support management in decision making. Partner with Procurement, Finance, and other departments to improve processes and resolve issues Support audits by providing documentation and responding to auditor requests Mentor and support junior AP staff, providing training and guidance when needed Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounts payable processes Qualifications include:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Experience working with NetSuite a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with vendors, other departments, and internal teams Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with other departments to resolve issues and improve processes Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 4-6+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience Compensation and Benefits Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation. Compensation The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $70,000 to $80,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible to participate in the annual bonus program.
