The Village of Oak Brook (pop. 8,163) is located 15 miles west of downtown Chicago. The Village is seeking to fill the newly created role of Information Systems Administrator. Reporting to the Information Technology Director, the Information Systems Administrator is a high visibility role responsible for the overall design, maintenance, and support of the Village of Oak Brook IT infrastructure. Responsibility includes a broad range of traditional IT duties such as technical and operation support, monitoring of systems, implementation of new projects, and ensuring compliance with established policies and regulations. The Information Systems Administrator will have significant input on new policy creation. The position is both internal and public-facing and provides a high level of service to Oak Brook residents, visitors, and staff. The successful candidate will have three or more years’ experience in systems/network administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with a four-year college or university degree in computer science or a related field. The ability to execute projects independently is desirable. Municipal or public sector IT experience is preferred. The Village of Oak Brook extends traditional paid vacation, sick time, personal days, and paid holidays. Full FY25 salary range: $90,956.34 – $123,058.45 depending on qualifications.
