What This Role Is…
As a Showroom Staging Associate, the primary function of this position is supporting the Visual Merchandising team by assisting with product merchandising and maintaining the overall appearance of the showroom. You will work closely with the Visual Merchandising Coordinators (VMCs) to implement product layout changes and execute visual displays according to Merchandise Planning & Visual directives. You will also ensure the exterior of the showroom and warehouse are clean and well-maintained, addressing daily maintenance and safety needs. The Showroom Staging Associate will assist with receiving weekly showroom deliveries, opening, and RFID tagging home accents, as well as inspecting showroom products for safety and physical condition, making necessary adjustments or repairs where possible. Your responsibilities will include managing showroom lighting, such as hanging chandeliers on a 12-foot ladder and maintaining track lighting. This role involves physical activity, including heavy lifting and moving furniture and boxes. Your contributions will ensure the success of the Visual Merchandising department at CITY Furniture.

Reports To: Regional Visual Merchandising Supervisor (RVMS), Manager (RVMM), or Senior Manager (SVMM)
Location: On-site, North Miami Beach
Department/Sub-Department: Merchandising / Visual
Pay Rate: $17-19
Responsibilities
Showroom Product Merchandising –
Assists with the transition and setup of products across all categories, including furniture, power motion upholstery, mattresses, rugs, lamps, chandeliers, and TVs/electronics. Participates in showroom merchandising, moving and placing products to create displays, ensuring displays meet merchandising standards, density and ADA pathway guidelines, and proper lighting. Maintains safety standards during setup, including securing cords, taping rugs, stabilizing TV stands, securing outdoor furniture, and maintaining Rug Racks. Implements changes to home accents on Strike Zones and during holidays, and assists with Marketing POP and signage. Responds to showroom audits and addresses feedback promptly.
Product Receiving & Tagging
– Receiving, opening, RFID tagging, and staging home accents; assisting with check-in of palletized products. Moves sold display products to the warehouse for pickup as needed.
Upkeep & Maintenance of Showroom Exterior & Warehouse
– Daily exterior sweep, trash/debris removal, rug tape stain removal, and keeping showroom and warehouse areas clean and organized. Ensures tools and equipment are maintained with stock of supplies. Assists with removing showroom damages as directed.
Additional duties and responsibilities as a Showroom Staging Associate:
Upkeep of Showroom Product
– Handles minor repairs and touch-ups, checks for functionality and hazards, cleans products, and addresses showroom issues reported by Sales. Tightens stands and signholders as needed.
Showroom Lighting & Chandeliers
– Maintains track lighting, changes bulbs, redirects lighting after moves, hangs and wires chandeliers, ensures proper bulbs and hues, cleans chandelier glass, and assists with plugging in lamps.
Inventory Control
– Manages inventory control and RFID tagging, counts received items, and reconciles weekly variances with Sales.
Adheres to all Standard Work and Role responsibilities.

What’s Required
Education & Work Experience
High School Diploma required from an accredited institution.
Understanding and previous use of basic hand tools for building & maintaining furniture.
Basic understanding of lighting wiring.
One to five years of operations experience within a retail environment preferred.
Work Environment & Schedule
Monday through Friday 9:30am-6:30pm, with limited night and weekend hours
Flexible 40 hours/week, Full Time
Travel to all regional showrooms and for Showroom Remerchandising projects & NSOs
Minimal personal cell phone use during work hours
Physical Requirements
Retail showroom and warehouse environment
Ability to bend, reach, kneel; extended standing and walking
Lift up to 75 lbs and work on ladders up to 12-16 feet
Comfort with heights
Technology Requirements
Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Apple iPad applications
General PC knowledge and RFID tagging equipment
