Director – Quality & Safety, West Region
Indiana University Health is seeking a
Director of Quality & Safety
to join our West Region’s leadership team. This role provides strategic, operational, and thought leadership to support the organization’s goals, focusing on quality assessment, performance improvement, and infection prevention programs. The Director collaborates with medical staff, senior leadership, and the Board to ensure measurable improvements in health outcomes, patient safety, and infection control. They promote the adoption of best practices and national benchmarks, ensuring active regional engagement in quality initiatives. Key Relationships Reports to:
Vice President – Chief Medical Officer Candidate Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred. Physician, Pharmacist, or Registered Nurse preferred. 7-10 years of relevant experience required. Certification as a Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) preferred; must be obtained within 3 years of employment. Experience with complex organizations, building relationships, influencing stakeholders, and inspiring teams. Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations. Experience with Rapid Cycle PDSA, Lean, Six Sigma, or IHI Model for Improvement preferred.
