Overview The Cigna Group's Analytics Leadership Development Program is seeking curious, driven individuals who are eager to learn, grow and lead. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or those early in their careers who are excited to apply their academic knowledge in analytics, data science and AI. The ALDP is designed to support your transition from academia to industry in which the framework allows for continued development through participation in a series of rotations. Associates are able to focus on key data, machine learning, and analytical competencies during the 4-5 year program. ALDP's formalized structure is comprised of technical and non-technical skills training, networking opportunities, formal mentoring, and use of cutting-edge analytical and AI tools. Program rotations are typically 12-18 months in length and span all areas of The Cigna Group's Data and Analytics organization. Possible full-time projects include, but are not limited to:

Building predictive models to identify high-need customers for one of The Cigna Group's clinical programs using machine learning techniques.

Leveraging clustering algorithms and AI-driven segmentation to enable personalization in customer communication and outreach.

Apply natural language processing (NLP), and other advanced analytical capabilities, to analyze unstructured data such as customer feedback or clinical notes.

Exploration of generative AI applications to automate insights generation and enhance decision-making.

Qualifications

Master's degree in a quantitative field, such as data science, statistics, business analytics, mathematics, or related major

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

Strong motivation to apply responsible and ethical AI practices to real-world business challenges

Strong motivation for leadership (e.g., demonstrated through extracurricular work or relevant certifications)

Takes ownership of work in which they are assigned

Demonstrated motivation and ability to creatively solve problems and identify novel solutions to enhance productivity and modernize existing practices

Demonstrated coursework or real-world application of analytical and AI methods, including but not limited to: writing code (e.g., Python, R, Java, Julia, SAS), using developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, developing models (e.g., regression, decision trees, deep learning, or generative AI techniques), and/or evaluating outcomes using statistical techniques (e.g., matched case-control studies, A/B testing)

Follows best programming practices and writes clean, documented, and well-structured code

Experience in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, Power BI) and PowerPoint a plus

Experience with relational databases and SQL

Experience with cloud-based AI/ML platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure ML) a plus

Excellent oral and written communication skills, across a variety of technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to collaborate with other technical colleagues to understand goals/priorities and to identify roadblocks/solutions

3.2+ GPA strongly preferred

Additional Information Locations:

ALDP Associates are expected to work in-person the majority of the time—defined as more than 50% of each workweek. Applicants should be prepared to be aligned to one of the following office locations:

Bloomfield, CT | Philadelphia, PA | Morris Plains, NJ

Program Schedule:

You must be available to work a 40-hour work week beginning July 13, 2026. Working days are Monday - Friday.

Work Authorization:

One goal of this leadership development program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for leadership roles with The Cigna Group upon program completion. Therefore, this position is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa support including H-1B or CPT/OPT/STEM, etc., now or in the future.

Compensation:

For this position, we anticipate offering a base salary of $105,000 with a competitive benefit package. We also note an additional annual salary range of 84,700 - 141,100 USD/year, depending on factors such as experience and geographic location. This role is anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, internet access must be through a cable broadband or fiber optic provider with speeds of at least 10 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload.
