Overview
Initial 6 months contract. Reporting into the Head of Legal, APAC based in Singapore, the role will be part of the legal team which advises business stakeholders on a broad range of legal matters. The successful candidate will take a lead role in providing legal advice to the Singapore business, manage Singapore legal team, and support related FEED/EPC projects within Singapore. Responsibilities
Draft, review and negotiate broad range commercial agreements related to the FEED/EPC domain Advise business stakeholders on FEED/EPC project bids, risk, and other related matters. Advise stakeholders on possible legal risk and provide mitigation strategies Manage any litigation or contentious matters across the region. Ensure compliance to company’s policies and regulatory requirements Assist in the drafting of policies, guidelines, legal templates, and other documents to ensure best practices. Coordinate and liaise directly with external counsels Prepare and implement any corporate policies or procedures Qualifications
LLB/LLM qualification with 3-7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE). Bar qualification from a Commonwealth jurisdiction, with a preference for Singapore. Relevant in-house experience in EPC, utilities, power, or infrastructure, and/or experience in a law firm specializing in construction or projects is advantageous but not mandatory. Experience in project execution and dispute resolution is preferred. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also operating independently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a multinational environment is beneficial To excel in this role, you will need to be collaborative, self-reliant, proactive, and capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
