Senior Project Manager
to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll oversee the entire project life cycle of complex electrical service and engineering projects. You’ll serve as a key point of contact for customers, manage cross-functional teams, ensure compliance with project scope and technical specifications, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across internal and external stakeholder groups.
What You’ll Do: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and leadership. Oversee technical, financial, and operational components of service projects to ensure successful implementation. Interpret customer needs and translate them into actionable project requirements. Verify that deliverables meet technical soundness and align with client expectations. Monitor and control budgets, schedules, and plans while maintaining quality standards. Develop project schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates. Manage contracts from both commercial and technical perspectives. Lead and motivate cross-disciplinary teams to achieve project milestones. Track progress and ensure project completion on time and within budget. Identify risks and implement contingency plans to maintain control. Coordinate with internal teams to align methods, increase profitability, and drive efficiency. Manage subcontractor performance and coordinate RFPs for deployment. Perform and review engineering activities, initiating corrective actions as needed. Implement metrics and data collection frameworks to evaluate performance. Enforce compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Apply quality control best practices to ensure deliverables meet internal and external expectations. Support continuous improvement within the PMO and companywide processes. The Experience We’re Looking For:
10+ years of experience in project management, preferably within power systems or industrial environments. Strong background in overseeing service-based projects involving installation, testing, or retrofitting. Familiarity with electrical systems, including substation construction, protection & control, and power distribution. Skilled in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Additional Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a technical field. High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests Willing to travel up to 30% for site visits or customer meetings. Capable of working extended periods at a computer and lifting up to 20 lbs as needed. Proficient in English for communication, documentation, and reporting. Bonus Points for:
PMP certification (PMI) or IPMA-C certification. NETA Level 2, 3, or 4 certifications. Prior experience in project execution for electrical installations, commissioning, or upgrades.
