Overview

Landmark College invites applications for the position of Grants and Sponsored Programs Director. The Grants and Sponsored Programs Director (GSPD) is responsible for pre- and post-award management of external funding proposals the College submits. This position is responsible for the management of the full grant cycle. The GSPD reports to the Vice-President of Institutional Advancement with reporting responsibilities to the College President. The GSPD works with faculty and staff in liberal studies, performing arts, professional studies, core education, Career Connections, and with staff in non-academic departments such as facilities, safety, human resources, and student affairs. The GSPD will have a deep and nuanced understanding of the priorities of funding agencies and foundations and how they align with the College\'s strategic priorities and budgetary needs. With this knowledge, the GSPD works closely with the VPIA, President, and relevant faculty and staff to manage the submission of grant proposals and funding requests. The GSPD will have impeccable customer service skills, be able to solve problems in the moment, and calmly direct activities as submission deadlines approach.

Responsibilities

Research potential funding opportunities, analyze funder priorities for alignment with the College\'s priorities, and make recommendations on funding to pursue. Develop, write, and submit funding proposals. Manage post-award functions including review of grant agreements, developing, tracking, and submitting both programmatic and financial grant reports, maintaining grant files in compliance with funder requirements, and monitoring the use of grant funds. Cultivate and steward relationships with prospective funders.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess: Previous grants administration experience required. Working knowledge of federal grant requirements outlined within the Uniform Administrative Requirements. Bachelor\'s degree with 5 years’ experience; Master\'s degree preferred. Strong writing, editing, planning, organizational skills. Demonstrated skills in working collaboratively with a wide variety of partners. Must be computer proficient, able to compose spreadsheets, and work with different databases. Self-starter, detail oriented and independent.

Work Environment

This position is based in a vibrant campus setting, with general office conditions and occasional requirements for off-campus activities. Some travel may be required, along with the ability to handle physical aspects such as walking, standing, and light lifting.

Scheduling

This is a full-time position with some scheduling flexibility. This position will work in-person on campus.

Compensation

At Landmark College, our compensation philosophy reflects our institutional values, our commitment to fairness and equity, and our role as a transformative educational community. The compensation for the above position is $75,000.
