Job Summary: The Elementary School Principal serves as the instructional and administrative leader of the school, ensuring a safe, supportive, and effective learning environment. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, implementing curriculum, managing student discipline, and fostering positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community. Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to promote high academic standards and student achievement. Oversee curriculum implementation and instructional practices to ensure alignment with state and district standards. Support teachers in professional development and instructional strategies. Utilize student performance data to drive continuous improvement and intervention strategies. School Operations & Management: Develop and manage the school budget in collaboration with district administration. Supervise and evaluate faculty and staff performance to maintain high professional standards. Oversee school safety, emergency procedures, and discipline policies. Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations and policies. Student Support & Discipline: Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that supports student success. Implement effective student behavior and discipline policies. Support social-emotional learning programs and services for students. Staff Supervision & Development: Recruit, hire, and retain high-quality educators and support staff. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Promote professional learning communities and staff collaboration. Community & Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with parents, guardians, and community members. Communicate effectively with families regarding school policies, student progress, and school initiatives. Engage in community outreach and partnerships to support student learning and school programs. Position Type:

To qualify as an Elementary School Principal, candidates must meet the following education, certification, experience, and skill requirements: Education & Certification Requirements: Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, School Administration, or a related field. Valid Arkansas Building-Level Administrator License (or eligibility to obtain). Completion of an approved principal preparation program. Additional coursework or certification in curriculum development, instructional leadership, or school finance (preferred). Experience Requirements: Three to five years of teaching experience, preferably at the elementary level (preferred). Prior experience in educational leadership, such as an assistant principal, instructional coach, or department head (preferred). Experience with curriculum development, student assessment, and teacher evaluation. Familiarity with state and federal education laws, including IDEA, ESSA, and Title programs. Leadership & Administrative Skills: Strong instructional leadership skills, including knowledge of best teaching practices and data-driven decision-making. Ability to supervise, evaluate, and support teachers and staff. Experience managing school budgets, resources, and operations. Knowledge of behavior management systems and student discipline procedures. Communication & Relationship-Building Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with students, teachers, parents, and the community. Strong collaborative leadership style that promotes teamwork and shared decision-making. Ability to establish and maintain a positive school culture. Other Requirements: Must pass a background check and fingerprint clearance. Strong technology skills, including proficiency in student information systems, assessment platforms, and educational software. Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
