Overview This position is eligible for

the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) , a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

Duties This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT. All qualified applicants will be referred to the hiring manager on a weekly basis.

The incumbent must be board certified with the Internal Medicine (ABIM) in cardiovascular disease, advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology, adult congenital heart disease, interventional cardiology and/or clinical cardiac electrophysiology and maintain competencies as indicated in their delineation of privileges. All physicians must maintain current ACLS and BLS certification.

The responsibilities include hands on clinical work, oversight, and administration of all aspects of the service, including an extensive research program and guidance and training for medical residents and other trainees.

Qualifications

Board certified with Internal Medicine (ABIM) in cardiovascular disease, advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology, adult congenital heart disease, interventional cardiology and/or clinical cardiac electrophysiology.

Maintain competencies as indicated in delineation of privileges.

All physicians must maintain current ACLS and BLS certification.
