Academic Hospitalist The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is seeking a full-time Hospitalist. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated physician interested in working with an urban, ethnically diverse, underserved population in a dynamic and supportive academic setting. The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey, and Long Island. Primary responsibility is ward attending coverage of the teaching service. Other clinical time will be allocated to optimize the interest and skill set of the physician on services including non-teaching inpatient, medical consults, and the observation unit. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in education, public health, and quality improvement. There is opportunity and support for professional development under these pillars as well as opportunity for movement into leadership positions. Candidates must have an MD degree and be board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine with a valid New York State License, DEA, and Medicaid number. We offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medical at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience, and qualifications. We also offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package. Compensation ranges from $229,000 to $292,000, including faculty practice distributions throughout the academic year, CME money, a generous retirement plan, and opportunity for sessional work.
