Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Excavator Operator to join our RUSH Marine team. The Excavator Operator will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to perform tasks such as digging, trenching, grading, and moving earth, rock, or other materials. The ideal candidate will have experience with excavation work, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient job site.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate excavators and other heavy equipment to complete assigned tasks. Excavate, grade, and move earth and materials according to project specifications. Perform trenching, backfilling, and site preparation as required. Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and grade stakes. Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks on equipment. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times. Communicate effectively with site supervisors, crew members, and other equipment operators. Assist with manual labor tasks when required. Report equipment issues or maintenance needs promptly. Qualifications:
Proven experience as an excavator operator in construction, utility, or site development. Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required. Heavy equipment operator certification or equivalent training preferred. Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures. Ability to read and interpret construction documents. Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Work Environment:
Outdoor job sites, often in varying weather conditions. May require overtime or weekend hours depending on project needs. Physical demands include climbing in/out of equipment, lifting up to 50 lbs, and extended periods of sitting while operating machinery. Compensation & Benefits:
