Position Opportunity
This position is in our customer service department and requires proven data entry skills. This is s full time position with benefits available after 90 day probationary period. Resume and prior work related experience is required to be considered for interview
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Maintains database by entering new and updated customer and account information.
Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.
Establishes entry priorities.
Processes customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies.
Resolves deficiencies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.
Enters customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard or optical scanner according to screen format.
Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
Verifies entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data.
Tests customer and account system changes and upgrades by inputting new data.
Secures information by completing data base backups.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
Education/Training/Certifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Related Experience : Data entry experience or related office experience
Some basic computer courses required
Knowledge/Skills Experience :
Organization skills
Quick typing skills
Attention to detail
Computer savvy
Confidentiality
Thoroughness
Customer service skills
Travel Requirements: None
Physical Requirements: Standing Walking Sitting Use of hands, fingers Reaching with hands and arms Climb and balance Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Talk and hear Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more) Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point) Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
