Gas Cylinder Lab Technician

(5-days onsite) >> Sunnyvale, Sausalito, Burlingame (reimbursement of all travel between sites) Required Experience/Skills: 2-3 years of experience with facilities, maintenance, and engineering and/or manufacturing Comfortable working in laboratory, chemical, gas, environment Reliable transportation Interest in technology, VR a plus Experience with Gas is a heavy consideration but not absolutely required Willing to learn, excited for VR, willing to get involved with Scientists, Chemists, Engineers, etc. About: Perform daily inventory checks for gas cylinder on-hand quantities. Perform gas cylinder changes when required. Manage onsite supplies and vendors of argon, fluoroform, SF6, chlorine, ammonia, hydrogen, silane, or others. Provide gloves, safety glasses, chemistry supplies, cleaning supplies, chem lab supplies, and organization for support of gas cylinder management. Notify proper teams if noncompliant action items are identified. Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to ensure compliance. Sync with end users regularly to discuss requests that may need support. Provide escort services for third party vendors. Additional Notes: Any Previous Lab experience is very helpful. Looking for someone who is mechanically inclined. Experience with Gas is a heavy consideration. People with chemical exposure in their backgrounds is a very nice to have. Someone who understands Commercial Facilities maintenance and engineering and or manufacturing could learn the Gas Cylinder work if they proved they could learn new skills in previous roles. The ideal candidate has worked for a specialty gas supply company. Lab Coordinator: Maintain stock of all raw materials currently on hand, keeping inventory and ordering new materials as needed and preparing stock for ongoing projects. Keep shop and lab space clean and organized, putting away tools, material and projects, so shop remains a clean and safe work environment. Support for lab manager to maintain lab equipment, physical space, and equipment within lab area as defined by the lab manager. Support for lab manager on space planning and new space development. Collaborate with stakeholders to help facilitate lab requests and projects, work on requests, oversee and follow through until completed. Work with third party vendors to manage special projects, lab renovations, building renovations, buildouts, and updates. Assist with scheduled preventative maintenance and/or respond to urgent maintenance calls. Liaise with Facebook Technologies team when required for environmental permits. Review furniture needs with lab users. Support for onsite and offsite storage and coordination of logistics activities. Coordinator will also maintain records where required.
