Summary
Responsible for the daily administration and management of technical infrastructure environment. Ensures the availability, functionality and performance of infrastructure services. Responsible for the engineering, build, deployment, configuration, operation, and maintenance of technical systems. Responsible for technical infrastructure administration including provisioning, monitoring, tuning, capacity planning, security, troubleshooting, support and maintenance. Areas of focus may include application delivery, disaster recovery, virtual or physical infrastructure, operating systems, storage, and/or directory services. This incumbent will need to be onsite as needed. Responsibilities
Demonstrates subject matter expertise on at least 1 distinct application / system functions, including: server hardware, datacenter virtualization, datacenter redundancy and high availability, enterprise storage, enterprise backup and recovery platforms, directory services, Microsoft exchange, cloud-based hosting, public key infrastructure, Microsoft Server operating systems, Linux/Unix/AIX operating systems, Operating System and application maintenance, enterprise monitoring, Microsoft Desktop operating systems, application virtualization, application delivery controller, client-based VPN, clinical application technical administration, diagnostic imaging infrastructure, clinically integrated hardware/peripherals. Additionally, demonstrates knowlege of skills listed above. Continuously strives to further improve relevant job knowledge/expertise. Works independently, seeks input from others where appropriate, and makes timely decisions Provides consultative IS advice regarding job specific functions as well as general infrastructure Knowledgeable of ITIL fundamentals Demonstrates ability to execute and develop a comprehensive cutover/implementation plan (whether as part of a project or service request) Develops and initiates testing and validation methods prior to change implementation (low complexity) Develops and maintains product roadmaps, including lifecycle management, maintenance schedules and capacity planning. Demonstrates ability to adapt plans and engineer customized solutions when faced with fundamental technical obstacles or challenges Determines system specifications and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility Utilizes and audit performance monitoring methods to identify and resolve performance related problems in the environment. Compiles data for reporting leading/lagging measures and performance metrics to organizational leadership Performs routine maintenance, including patching, updating, and upgrading current infrastructure hardware and software. Validates that routine maintenance has been successfully performed. Maintains and supports assigned systems within the organization Provides tier 3 support for other IS teams, and end users Coordinates with vendors regarding new technologies and implementations Serves as a department subject matter expert and responsible for solving and delivering problems/solutions Participates in problem resolution and root cause analysis Demonstrates ability to function effectively as a resource on projects, responsible for identifying delivery constraints and escalates appropriately. Assists application owners and vendors with project go-lives Demonstrates ability to function effectively as a contributing/consulting resource on projects Recommends purchase of products or services necessary to support the test and production operating environments Demonstrates fundamental knowledge of system integration. Adopts new department procedures and processes quickly Maintains industry awareness and learns skills to stay current with trends Demonstrates the highest level of work ethic, values, and customer service while expressing genuine concern for customers and the organizational mission Requirements
Required Skills and Experience Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager): Advanced experience administering and supporting SCCM infrastructure Proven ability to manage software deployments, update compliance, and operating system deployment (OSD) at scale Familiarity with SCCM Maintenance Tasks, Distribution Points, and Software Center configuration Operating System Deployment (OSD): Strong knowledge of building, customizing, and deploying OS images for boththin clients and PCs Skilled inintegrating BIOS/firmware updatesinto task sequences Experience with driver management, task sequencing, PXE boot, and MDT integration Familiarity with staging deployments for high availability and minimal end-user impact PowerShell Scripting: Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for task automation, reporting, remediation scripts, and custom logic Ability to build modular and reusable scripts for deployment and configuration management Application Packaging & Deployment: Hands-on experience creating and deploying MSI, EXE, and custom scripted applications via SCCM Ability to test, troubleshoot, and ensure application compatibility across platforms Soft Skills: Strong documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills Strong communication, and time management skills Ability to work independently, and prioritize tasks Ability to support large-scale deployments in an enterprise environment Preferred Group Policy Management (GPO): Solid understanding of Active Directory Group Policy creation, inheritance, and troubleshooting Experience enforcing workstation security and configuration standards using GPOs Windows Patching & Compliance Management: Proficient in creating and managingAutomatic Deployment Rules (ADRs)for Windows updates Experience monitoring deployment success, troubleshooting failures, and ensuring patch compliance across devices SCCM Insights & Reporting: Familiarity withSCCM Software Insightsfor license tracking, usage analysis, and compliance reporting Experience creating custom SCCM reports and dashboards using SQL or Power BI is a plus Windows OS Support: Strong experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows Server operating systems (20122025) Expertise with Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments, including image lifecycle management and feature updates BitLocker & Encryption Management: Experience deploying, configuring, and supportingBitLocker encryptionacross enterprise devices Proficient in managing BitLocker policies andBitLocker recovery key integration with SCCMand Active Directory Education:Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration inComputer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent relevant work experience required (5 years of role specific work experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree).
