Technical Project Manager Location
On-Site - Portland, OR Position Description
We are seeking a mid-level Technical Project Manager with a strong foundation in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering) to manage the development and delivery of cutting-edge defense-related systems and products. This role is critical to driving the full lifecycle of product development, from early-stage concept and requirements through design, integration, testing, and delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience structuring work, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring quality delivery of milestones and obligations. This position requires leadership, communication skills, and a results-driven mindset. You will serve as the point of coordination between engineering, operations, business development, and program leadership to ensure successful project execution. Required Skills
3–6 yrs of experience as a Technical Project Manager (Engineering project leadership and/or team lead) Understanding of engineering concepts in Electrical, Mechanical, SW, or Systems Engineering Experience managing cross-functional project teams in a technical environment Project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence, etc.) Communication and stakeholder management skills Work examples of Focus and problem-solving skills Experience establishing or managing product development processes (V&V, Phase Gate, etc) Proficiency with Web based MS Office Products Preferred Skills/Qualifications
Experience working in R&D, product development, or regulated environments PMP, Agile, or Scrum Master certification Experience with proposal support or customer-facing technical communication Education
Technical Background and/or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems) Clearance Level Required
None – Must be eligible for US Security Clearance Travel
Light Travel may be required for customer meetings and partnership developments Working Conditions
