Responsibilities Efficiently load and unload cement using rail car movers, front-end loaders, and computer systems while prioritizing safety. Take customer orders over the phone with professionalism and accuracy. Track and report inventory manually as needed. Conduct preventative and routine maintenance on all equipment, keeping accurate records. Keep the terminal and surrounding buildings clean and organized. Adhere to all safety rules and operational procedures set by CalPortland and WorkSafe. Perform daily checks on all tickets received and shipped. Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders while performing job duties. Complete additional assigned tasks as necessary. Education A high school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred. Requirements/Qualifications Proficiency in computer applications, including Excel, Word, SAP, and HMI systems. Mechanical skills with experience in oil changes, equipment inspections, and preventive maintenance. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Physical ability to climb, stoop, bend and lift up to 50 pounds. Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred: Welding skills are a plus. Conditions of Employment All successful candidates must pass a post-offer pre-employment physical exam, drug/alcohol screening, and background check. Some positions require ongoing drug and alcohol testing regulated by FMCSA.
