Boeing Global Services is seeking a Senior Sales Manager in Seattle, WA or Denver, CO. The Senior Sales Manager reports to the Senior Director, Commercial Sales BGS and manages a technical sales team coordinating closely with Digital Services (DS) program and sales leadership, marketing and the broader regional sales organization for Boeing Global Services. This leader is responsible for developing our go-to-market strategy for the business and leading the team in the execution of sales campaigns to achieve growth objectives. Position responsibilities: This leader will report directly into the BGS Commercial Sales Organization, however will ‘dotted line’ integrate into the Senior Director, Digital Services as well. They will be a critical member of the DS leadership team and will manage the Sales IPT. Coach, develop and guide the sales team on how to drive the most optimal customer journey and how to grow each client in the team’s portfolio, while partnering closely with regional managing directors in Commercial Sales Monitoring global team activities on daily basis, conducting weekly/monthly check-in meetings with team to implement and adjust strategies Lead and motivate a team of sales professionals to solicit new business and/or retain and penetrate existing business to drive growth Lead the development of sales opportunities and coordinate with the business sales support groups, including Customer Success & Service Leaders, program leadership, and marketing to maximize opportunities in the region Drive key activities, including prospecting, strategy planning, forecasting and prioritization of resources Support strategic imperatives and initiatives in-order-to ensure the fulfillment of business requirements and to optimize business performance Monitor, track, and report on key sales performance metrics Maximize utilization of product management and marketing communication as well as customer support to contribute to business objectives Ensure continuous improvement in customer satisfaction, maintain and develop relationships with key personnel of strategic customers within the region Conduct regular pipeline reviews with the members of the team and supervise their performance against set targets and KPIs Participating in strategically important client negotiations and meetings Lead the execution of sales strategy on the assigned territories and develop and ensure quota attainment by the team Oversee process improvements, staff skill development and collaboration with larger BGS and Boeing proposal initiatives Partner with sales leadership, sales operations, human resources and finance to administer the sales incentive plan program; which includes calculations, data extracts and report generation in a timely manner and ensure incentive plans are distributed with accuracy, transparency and on schedule Support internal nonstandard business approval processes for strategic campaigns for the assigned region as needed Basic Qualifications: Experienced in Business Management or Sales/Marketing or equivalent in progressive leadership Working knowledge of software solutions supporting flight deck operations, and technical operations as it relates to the global commercial aviation market segment Experience closing large, complex, strategic deals Exemplary people management, leadership skills, as well as sales coaching & team building skills Ability to travel both domestically and internationally Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Understanding of the Aviation market space; Understanding of internal sales approval processes (P&O, NBA, etc.) Understanding of CRM tools, specifically Salesforce.com Proven ability to facilitate meetings and foster communication across geographically separated teams Bachelor’s degree or higher Business management and resource allocation skills including business plan development Strong business acumen; financial and organizational skills Advanced negotiation, problem solving and influencing skills Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport, collaboration and influence, at all levels within the organization Ability to operate effectively in a multi-tasking, dynamic environment, while maintaining a forward-thinking and customer-first attitude Appropriate cultural and language skills for the region Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
