Overview
Large manufacturing company is seeking a Melt Shop Supervisor on 3rd Shift for their facility in Chicago, IL. The supervisor will ensure safe and efficient production, managing a skilled workforce, and maintaining a high level of operational discipline. The ideal candidate has a background in heavy manufacturing, proven leadership abilities, and a relentless focus on safety and productivity. Must be willing to work the 3rd shift (overnight) schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed. Location

High School Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of all melt shop personnel during the 3rd shift. Monitor production processes to ensure all quality and production targets are met. Troubleshoot operational issues and equipment malfunctions, coordinating with the maintenance team to minimize downtime. Ensure strict compliance with all company safety protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements, including Lockout/Tagout, confined space entry, and proper use of personal protective equipment. Conduct daily safety meetings, enforce safety rules, and address any unsafe conditions or behaviors immediately. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote teamwork and morale.
