Overview
Academic Account Manager is responsible for maximizing market share, product revenue, preference and usage in a designated territory by effectively managing a high performing set of assigned law schools. Academic Account Managers adapt to industry trends to employ in-person and digital engagement methods to communicate the value of Thomson Reuters' platforms to law school customers. Location : This is a remote/work from home opportunity (the employee will be required to visit law schools within Boston and New England as part of the role). The ideal candidate can be located in or around the Boston area. Responsibilities
Product Expertise: Exhibit deep knowledge of Thomson Reuters solutions (Westlaw, Practice Solutions, Print, software) plus comprehensive understanding of legal profession and academic/law school industry Strategic Business Planning: Develop cost-efficient territory plans that maximize performance through both in-person and online training, plus implementation of customer promotions Student Brand Ambassador Leadership: Direct full management responsibilities including hiring, HR issues, motivation, training, and consistent activity/results reporting Industry Representation: Represent Thomson Reuters at regional and national trade shows and conferences Reporting & Documentation: Provide consistent and accurate reporting across all activities and metrics Work Style Flexibility: Demonstrate ability to work both independently and collaboratively as business needs require Customer Relationship & Revenue Management: Effectively meets customer needs, builds lasting relationships, and demonstrates proven revenue retention success with excellent account and territory management skills Professional Leadership & Team Management: Exhibits professional demeanor that commands respect from law school faculty/students, with strong leadership qualities including self-motivation, resilience, and ability to effectively lead Student Brand Ambassador teams Product Expertise & Training Excellence: Possesses strong knowledge of Thomson Reuters products (Westlaw Precision, print, workflow solutions) and demonstrates ability to provide high-impact customer training that exceeds needs Strategic Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to identify trends/opportunities, exercise independent judgment, and adapt in fast-paced, changing environments Communication & Market Knowledge: Ability to master and communicate benefits of Thomson Reuters solutions while exhibiting strong knowledge of law school market and legal profession About You
You're a fit for the role if you have: JD required Prior legal experience preferred Strong communication and presentation skills Customer service orientation and experience Proficient in MS Office and Social Media Ability to travel to training sessions, meetings and to law school locations as needed – 50% travel may be required What’s in it For You?

For eligible US locations, the base range is $72,100 - $133,900. This role may be eligible for an annual bonus based on enterprise and individual performance.
