Senior Customer Engagement Manager, Epilepsy and Movement Disorders - Mid Atlantic (Remote)
Jazz Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Customer Engagement Manager (Sr. CEM) for Epilepsy and Movement Disorders in the Mid Atlantic region (remote). This field-based role partners with National and Regional thought leaders to develop patient advocacy, optimize educational exchange, and generate market insights to advance brand strategy. The Sr. CEM will work cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Training, Marketing, Compliance, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Long-Term Care. Travel up to 75% is required. Responsibilities include developing and connecting scientific thought leaders, coordinating cross-functional resources, budget management, and mapping regional influence networks to drive KOL engagement and product adoption. Key Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and connect scientific thought leaders to elevate and advance the epilepsy treatment paradigm. Drive cross-functional coordination (Sales, Marketing, Medical, Advocacy, and Home Office) to align resources, remove barriers, and enable epilepsy center and movement disorder loyalty and KOL product adoption. Track and manage budgets for areas of responsibility. Map regional influence networks to connect brand champions with non-loyalists, emerging thought leaders, and new physicians entering the field from fellowship programs. Regional Planning and Coordination Drive internal steering committee to establish individual KOL development strategies within the region. Develop and conduct regional Community Education Programs. Coordinate and maximize coverage of local/regional professional congresses and advocacy events. Plan and facilitate residency and fellowship enhanced education to expand disease state education among HCPs. Identify opportunities for regional medical centers to partner in patient identification and access initiatives. Participate in Managed Markets initiatives to improve access. Leverage reimbursement knowledge to address financial barriers for KOLs when initiating new patients. Identify appropriate KOLs for presentations and discussions (e.g., POA, HCP symposiums). Support NAMs and ARMs in annual business planning. Contribute insights on trends and market dynamics to annual brand planning with relevant tools and resources. Key Opinion Leader Engagement & Development Build KOL advocacy using on-label, regulatory-approved materials to support brand and commercial strategy. Identify areas of shared purpose with Jazz and KOLs to bring value to the epilepsy community. Develop and maintain relationships with Neurology medical community, academic centers, and teaching institutions with a scientific approach to needs and solutions. Foster home office and regional interactions to identify market opportunities and participate in programs (advisory boards, pilot programs, speaker programs, congress meetings, one-on-one meetings, podium observations). Explore new ways to support peer-to-peer interactions. Insight Generation & Sharing Act as disease state and product expert to internal and field stakeholders to drive KOL product adoption and loyalty. Develop plans with clear objectives and discussion points for major congresses (e.g., AES, CNS). Facilitate interactions at congresses between KOLs and Jazz leadership. Perform pre-launch account profiling to identify influential KOLs interested in working with Jazz. Speaker Bureau Development Identify, nominate, train, and monitor speakers; provide feedback on clinical aptitude and content balance; manage speaker capacity decisions. Collaborate with Medical, Marketing, Sales, and physicians to evaluate speaker program value and implement improvements. Education Level And Languages Required
Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree in business or science preferred. English required; additional languages may be a plus. Professional Skills, Qualifications And Experience
Minimum 8+ years in field sales, product marketing, or medical/clinical within pharma/healthcare, with at least 3 years in sales management or marketing. Experience in Neurology, Epilepsy, and specialty pharma highly desirable. Experience in institutional sales or large accounts is a plus. Experience launching products or services is a plus; scientific/clinical background is a plus. Recent US experience managing a brand across lifecycle stages. Experience in healthcare professional and patient marketing a plus; proven ability to influence without authority. Knowledge of loyalty and customer satisfaction metrics integrated into business processes. Strong understanding of reimbursement environments, Medicare challenges, and specialty neurology markets. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations relating to patient-focused advocacy. Knowledge of data sources, reports, and tools for account planning and measuring results. Intermediate to advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills. Personal Skills & Competencies
