This role is for a Major Market Sales Executive who identifies potential clients, consults on solutions, and sells products/services. The executive is responsible for lead generation, sales forecasting, and achieving sales quotas. About The Role The Major Market Sales Executive is responsible for identifying potential clients through prospecting activities and consulting with them to determine which products and services from the organization will solve their business challenges. The role involves selling these solutions to new clients within assigned territories. The Sales Executive is expected to self-generate leads through prospecting, telemarketing, sales database management (CRM), and networking. They must be an expert in the sales process and product offering, and are accountable for forecasting their sales on a monthly basis. Essential Duties Include Identifying potential clients in the higher employee band and more complex end of the midmarket space through prospecting and referrals, leveraging tools and technology. Consulting with potential clients to determine optimal solutions to solve business challenges and accommodate specific business needs. Calling on potential clients in person and by phone to present the organization's products and services. Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with assigned referral sources. Owning individual accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts. Analyzing current practices of potential clients and identifying additional sales opportunities. Meeting or exceeding agreed upon sales activity and sales targets. Assisting in the conversion process for new clients, including submission of complete paperwork for new clients and successful processing of the initial payroll. Working closely with Client Services staff to achieve client satisfaction. Recording all sales activity and results in SFDC in a timely manner, preferably daily. Working closely with Client Services and Implementation team to support effective new client implementation and transition. Completing regular reports as required, including CRM updates. Assisting RSD in the development of less experienced Sales Executives as needed. Demonstrating a strong work ethic and regular attendance. Maintaining ethical business practices. Performing other duties as assigned.
