Overview

The Account Executive is responsible for achieving or exceeding sales quota in assigned territory by developing new business opportunities and selling Parata portfolio of solutions into the retail and community pharmacy market through decision makers at the customer level. Assigned territory can be within one state or across multiple states as defined by the company. Develops and manages relationships with key decision makers (KDM) and thought leaders (TL).

Responsibilities

Prospect, build, and nurture relationships with pharmacy owners and pharmacists to position Parata solutions effectively.

Drive sales growth and exceed quota within the assigned territory.

Develop and implement strategic account plans to improve growth and profitability within the territory.

Execute a consultative sales approach, guiding prospects through each stage of the buying process.

Own the customer relationship and build strategic partnerships as a trusted advisor.

Participate in tradeshows and customer-facing events to support business development and sales initiatives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align complex product solutions with customer initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.

5-10 years of successful medical equipment sales (capital preferred).

Experience working with privately owned businesses or healthcare practices preferred.

Strong prospecting skills with a hunter mentality required.

Strong negotiation and contract negotiating skills.

Ability to manage the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and close.

Solid understanding of the pharmacy industry preferred.

Other Requirements

Travel up to 75%

Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver\'s license and meet BD\'s auto safety standards

Territory Assigned territory will include parts of NY, CT, MA, RI, VT, NH, and ME. The candidate must reside in or near one of these locations.

Work Environment and Vaccination BD prioritizes on-site collaboration. For most roles, a minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week is required to maintain our culture of excellence, while recognizing flexibility. Remote or field-based positions will have different workplace arrangements indicated in the job posting.
