Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Launch and Missile Defense Systems offers an excellent opportunity for a Sr Principal Engineer DevOps – Cloud DevOps to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. This position, based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, plays a vital role in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels. The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial component of the Missile Defense System. It provides a vital operational platform that allows the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to meet global and regional mission objectives. This individual will be responsible for deploying and maintaining a large virtualization solution spread across multiple remote sites. This environment encompasses solutions such as virtualization hypervisor platforms, remote virtual desktop infrastructure, and other direct user experience technologies, as well as additional monitoring solutions for virtual infrastructure. Position Overview

C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering an optimal response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to enhance overall performance. Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree (preferred) in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related field with 4 years of relevant work experience Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start Must have experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Red Hat OpenStack, and Nutanix Experience in Linux and/or Windows Server administration Experience with scripting languages like Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible Experience working with a Scrum team in an Agile environment Preferred Qualifications

Have experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes Have experience developing CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab Implementing configuration management methodologies using Ansible Previous experience with a Nutanix hyperconverged on-premises cloud platform Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory Experience as a Scrum Master is a plus What We Can Offer You
