Process Engineer - Food Manufacturing (1101339) Location: Chicago, IL Salary: $130,000.00 USD Annually - $150,000.00 USD Annually Description: PROCESS ENGINEER Location: Chicago Metropolitan Area Compensation: $120,000 - 150,000 Company type: Food Manufacturer MUST HAVE: 3+ years as a Process Engineer in Food Manufacturing
Responsibilities
Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste Conduct root cause analysis on process deviations for corrective actions Design and execute experiments for new processes or equipment Develop and maintain comprehensive standard operating procedures and documentation Collaborate cross-functionally on new product development projects Monitor key process indicators to ensure targets are met consistently Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot immediate issues
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools Excellent problem-solving abilities coupled with strong attention to detail
