Role: .Net Developer

Job description We are seeking a skilled .NET Developer to join our team and play a key role in modernizing a core system. This project involves migrating a legacy system from a stored procedure-driven architecture to a modern, testable C#/.NET Core solution using Entity Framework Core. A crucial constraint is that the existing SQL Server database schema must remain unchanged.
Responsibilities: • Analyze existing stored procedures and understand their business logic and data access patterns. • Design and implement equivalent functionality in C# using .NET Core and Entity Framework Core. • Utilize the Database-First approach with EF Core to generate models from the existing database. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following SOLID principles. • Implement the repository pattern to abstract data access. • Create unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and correctness. • Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software. • (Optional) Contribute to the deployment and configuration of the application in an Azure environment. Required Skills and Experience: • Strong proficiency in C#. • Experience with .NET Core (or .NET 6+). • Solid understanding of Entity Framework Core (EF Core), particularly the Database-First approach. • Experience working with SQL Server databases. • Proven ability to write LINQ to Entities queries. • Experience working with Azure Functions/Durable Functions • Experience with unit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest) and mocking frameworks (Moq, NSubstitute, or FakeItEasy). • Understanding of SOLID design principles. • Familiarity with dependency injection. • Experience with Git or other version control systems. Desired Skills (Bonus Points): • Experience with Azure Resources (Azure SQL Database, Azure App Service, etc.) in DevOps Pipelines and API/SDKs • Understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) concepts. • Experience with performance profiling and optimization of data access code. • Experience migrating legacy systems to modern architectures
